Fire Doors

We offer a variety of FD30 fire doors to match our range of stylish interior doors suitable for schools, offices, NHS and commercial building as well as residential. Tested to BS:476 Part 22:1987 fire door regulations giving them a fire resistance up to 30 minutes when fitted in the correct frame with the intumescent strips fitted all in accordance with supplied instructions. If you require loose stop FD30 fire frames or intumescent strips, you will find these in our hardware section. Not sure if you need Fire doors? As a general rule most commercial property housing employees will require fire doors to be fitted. Residential property will usually require fire doors in flats, apartments and 3 storey dwellings, and fire doors would need to be fitted between integrated garages. Again as a general rule internal fire doors are 44mm thick (as opposed to 35mm for a standard internal door) so this is a good indicator. If  you are unsure if you require fire doors in your property, contact your local fire safety officer or building inspector for further advice. All fire doors will need to be installed in conjunction with the current Fire Door Regulations and signed off by an appropriately qualified authority. See some offfice door FAQs here.
